Subtle and considered

Aesthetics

Straightforward answers about anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers, with safety and natural-looking results at the centre.

Explore aesthetics
How do anti-wrinkle treatments work?

Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily relax selected facial muscles that contribute to expression lines. Your treatment is planned around your facial movement and goals, with the aim of creating a refreshed, balanced result rather than changing how you look.

When will I see my anti-wrinkle results?

Some people notice a change within a few days, while the full result can take around two weeks to develop. Individual response varies. Kia will explain when your result should be reviewed and what to expect after treatment.

How long do anti-wrinkle results last?

Longevity varies between individuals and can be affected by the area treated, muscle activity, metabolism and lifestyle. No exact duration can be guaranteed, but your likely maintenance schedule will be discussed during consultation.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?

Straday’s approach focuses on softening and balance while retaining natural expression. Your face, movement and preferences are assessed individually so the plan can be tailored to you.

Are aesthetic injections painful?

Most clients describe anti-wrinkle injections as a brief pinch. Dermal filler comfort varies by area; products containing lidocaine may be used and numbing cream can be discussed where appropriate.

What are dermal fillers made from?

The fillers used at Straday are hyaluronic acid based. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body and is used to add or restore volume, enhance shape and support facial balance.

How long do dermal fillers last?

This depends on the product, treatment area and your individual response. Results may last several months or longer, but filler longevity cannot be guaranteed. Kia will discuss realistic expectations for the area you are considering.

What downtime should I expect after filler?

Temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or redness can occur. The degree and duration vary by person and treatment area. Plan ahead of important events and follow the specific aftercare advice provided.

Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved?

Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved where clinically appropriate using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. Dissolving is a separate clinical procedure with its own assessment, risks and consent process.

Can I have aesthetic treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are not offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive before booking.

Support your skin

Skin rejuvenation

Guidance on Profhilo, skin boosters and polynucleotides—and how a consultation helps separate treatments that can sound very similar.

Explore skin rejuvenation
What is the difference between Profhilo, skin boosters and polynucleotides?

They are different treatment types with different formulations and purposes. Broadly, Profhilo and skin boosters are often chosen to support hydration and skin quality, while polynucleotides are used within regenerative treatment plans for areas such as the face, neck or under-eyes.

The right option depends on your skin, the area being treated and what you hope to improve, so consultation is important.

How will I know which skin treatment is right for me?

Start with what concerns you rather than a treatment name. During consultation, Kia will assess the area, discuss your medical history, priorities, budget and tolerance for downtime, then explain suitable options honestly—including when treatment is not recommended.

Will I need a course of treatments?

Many skin rejuvenation treatments are planned as an initial course followed by maintenance, but the number and timing vary. Your personalised plan will be explained before you commit to treatment.

Is there downtime after skin rejuvenation treatment?

Redness, tenderness, small bumps, swelling or bruising may occur after injectable skin treatments. The expected response depends on the product and area treated. You will receive treatment-specific advice so you can plan around work, events and exercise.

Can skin rejuvenation be combined with other treatments?

Sometimes, but treatments need to be planned in the correct order and spaced appropriately. Tell us about any recent or upcoming facials, injectables, dental work, skincare procedures or important events so Kia can advise safely.

Skin and self-care

Facials & beauty

From choosing a Million Dollar facial to caring for a lash lift, these are the questions Lucy is asked most often.

Explore facials
Which facial should I book?

You do not need to diagnose your own skin. Think about what you would like help with—such as dehydration, dullness, congestion, texture or preparing for an event—and Lucy can guide you towards the most suitable facial for your skin and goals.

What is a Million Dollar Facial?

The Million Dollar Facial is a multi-step treatment combining professional exfoliation and skin-focused techniques to support a brighter, smoother and more even-looking complexion. Suitability and the exact treatment steps will be discussed before your appointment.

What is the BioCell Trinity+ facial?

BioCell Trinity+ is an advanced Million Dollar facial designed to support brighter, smoother and more hydrated-looking skin. Lucy will assess your skin and explain how the treatment works, its suitability and the aftercare involved before proceeding.

Will facial treatments involve downtime?

It depends on the facial. Many relaxing or hydration-focused treatments have little to no downtime, while peels and other advanced treatments can cause temporary redness or sensitivity. Check before booking if you have an important event coming up.

Will facial hair grow back thicker after dermaplaning?

No. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the skin’s surface and does not alter the structure of the hair follicle. The hair grows back in the same way it did before treatment.

How long does a lash lift last?

A lash lift commonly lasts around six to eight weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and aftercare. As new lashes grow through, the lifted effect gradually softens rather than disappearing at once.

Do I need a patch test for a lash lift or tint?

Yes. A patch test is required for new lifting and tinting clients, even if you have previously had the treatment elsewhere. Please arrange this with enough time before your appointment.

How should I care for my lashes after a lift?

Keep lashes dry and avoid steam, rubbing and eye makeup for the first 24 hours unless Lucy advises otherwise. After that, treat the lashes gently and follow the product and aftercare guidance provided.

Safety & aftercare

What to tell us before treatment, how to prepare and when to get in touch afterwards.

Contact Straday
How should I prepare for my appointment?

Preparation varies by treatment. Complete your consultation forms accurately, tell us about medication, allergies, health changes or recent procedures, and follow any instructions sent with your booking. Arrive on time and contact us if you are unwell or have an active skin concern near the treatment area.

Are there side effects or risks?

Every treatment has potential side effects, risks and situations in which it may not be suitable. These differ between treatments and individuals. The relevant information will be explained before you consent, and you will have time to ask questions.

Will I receive aftercare instructions?

Yes. Where appropriate, you will receive treatment-specific aftercare and guidance about what is normal, what to avoid and when to contact Straday. Following that advice supports safe healing and the best possible treatment outcome.

What should I do if I am worried after treatment?

Contact Straday Studio promptly using the details provided with your aftercare if you have an unexpected reaction or concern. Do not wait for a routine review if something does not feel right.

Urgent or severe symptoms should be treated as a medical emergency. Call 999 or seek urgent medical assistance where appropriate.

Will photographs be taken?

Clinical photographs may be taken where appropriate for treatment planning, records and progress. They are stored securely as part of your confidential client record. They will not be used for marketing or social media without separate permission.

Can treatment results be guaranteed?

No. Results and longevity vary between individuals, even when the same treatment and product are used. Your consultation will focus on realistic expectations, suitability and a plan tailored to you.

Still unsure?

You never need to work it all out alone.
