Kia is an NMC-registered practitioner and midwife with an NHS background. She takes a conservative, assessment-led approach and will not recommend more filler simply because it is available.
If your expectations are not achievable, the timing is wrong or treatment is not appropriate, Kia will explain why.
What to Expect
How Lips Settle.
Early swelling is not the finished result. Your response is individual, so these stages are guidance rather than a guarantee.
Immediately After
Swelling, redness, tenderness, small injection marks or bruising can occur. The lips may look fuller than the intended settled result.
First Few Days
Swelling can fluctuate and the lips may temporarily feel firm or look uneven while the tissue settles.
Around Two Weeks
Much of the early swelling has usually settled, making it easier to assess the result. Individual healing time varies.

Before Treatment
Suitability First.
- Lip filler is for adults aged 18 and over only.
- Share your health history, medicines, allergies and previous filler.
- Tell Kia about cold sores, infection, illness or upcoming dental work.
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding and important dates must be discussed.
Kia may recommend delaying treatment or deciding it is not suitable.
After Treatment
Aftercare That Is Specific to You.
- Do not rub, press or massage the lips unless Kia tells you to.
- Follow Kia’s advice about makeup, exercise, heat and alcohol.
- Plan around dental appointments and other facial treatments.
- Contact Straday Studio promptly if anything feels unexpected.

Suitability, product choice and advice are always confirmed individually.
How much filler will I need?
There is no amount that suits everybody. Kia considers your existing lip tissue, proportions, previous treatment and the degree of change you want before discussing the appropriate product and amount.
What is the difference between standard and premium filler?
They are different product options rather than small and large treatments. Kia will explain the product available in each option, its relevant characteristics and why one may suit the agreed plan. Premium filler does not automatically mean more volume.
Will my lips look natural?
Kia’s approach is conservative and personalised, with the aim of creating a result that works with your facial proportions. No exact outcome can be guaranteed, but your preferences and what you consider “natural” will be discussed before treatment.
Does lip filler hurt?
Lips are sensitive, so discomfort is possible. Kia will explain the treatment, comfort measures available and what you may feel. Tell her if you are anxious or have had a difficult experience previously.
How long does lip filler last?
Longevity varies with the product used, your metabolism, lip movement, lifestyle and previous treatment. Kia will provide product-specific guidance, but an exact duration cannot be promised.
How much swelling should I expect?
Swelling varies and may be more noticeable during the first few days. Bruising, tenderness and temporary unevenness can also occur. Kia will explain the normal settling process and when to seek advice.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Where a hyaluronic-acid filler is used, it may be possible to dissolve it using a separate treatment. Dissolving is not a simple risk-free reset and is only considered after assessment. Kia will explain the limitations and relevant risks if it ever needs discussing.
Do I need a separate consultation first?
You can book a £30 aesthetics consultation if you are unsure what you need or want dedicated time to compare options. It is helpful but not automatically required before booking lip filler; Kia will still complete a full assessment and consent process before any treatment.
